This is great! I just found out that my great grandparents migrated from Burwell in 1873. Their names were Robert and Mary Ann Diver. They lived on the Causway. Any Divers left in Burwell?

I have really enjoyed the Archery, the Hope and Glory and the Anglo-Saxon days. I always get to dress up and learn a lot about history. Much better than learning just from books! Thank you to all the people who work hard to arrange this.

I am immensely touched and extremely proud to see that a Dennis of Grunty Fen exhibit has been added to the museum. The late Peter Sayers is my natural father, I being the product of a relationship he had in the early '60s and after which I was given up for adoption. I was only able to speak to him on two occasions just before his death in 2005 however we were able to 'square the record' so to speak and I have since thought of him often. Please accept my very best wishes and kindest thanks for keeping his memory alive in this way.

My son, Bill Burwell discovered this web site and we've both enjoyed looking at it. I live in Vancouver, WA and have visited UK several years ago. I wish we had known about Burwell and we could've visited it. My grandmother, Lydia Allen, was born in London so this has given me an interest in the UK. We have a replica of the Hudson Bay Co. Fort here in Vancouver. Thank you for doing this and I hope to visit this site again.

This site is amazing and I wish that I could see Burwell in person. My Mason/Eastwell family came from here around 1850 and I am researching them. I am from western New York, USA. Sue Mason Ames

I ran across this site curious about the origins of my last name. I knew very little about its history or my fathers parents so I did a basic Google search and landed here. I am African-American living in Los Angeles. Interesting, I also noticed another "Mark' Burwell listed in the guestbook.

If I ever get to England, I really want to visit this village. I think it would be really great to walk the streets of a village with my last name. And see if any of my ancestors came from this village.
